Terms & Disclaimer सर्त तथा अस्वीकरण
The basis on which this website is published, and what it is and is not. यो वेबसाइट प्रकाशित गरिएको आधार, र यो के हो र के होइन।

A note on language. This page is published in English only for the time being. A Nepali translation is being prepared; until it is published, the English text is the operative one. If anything here is unclear, please write to us and we will explain it in Nepali.
This site is not an advertisement
Advocates in Nepal do not tout for work, and nothing here is meant to. This website exists so that people who already want to find us can do so, and so that clients and colleagues have somewhere to read about what the firm does. Nothing on it is a solicitation, an inducement, an advertisement, or an invitation to instruct us.
Nothing here is legal advice
The material on this site is general and written for a general reader. It is not advice on your situation and should not be treated as a substitute for it. Nepali law changes, and a page written months ago may no longer be accurate. Two matters that look alike rarely turn on the same point. Before you act on anything, or decide not to act, take advice on your own facts, from us or from another advocate.
Reading this site does not make you a client
Visiting these pages, or sending us an enquiry through them, does not create a lawyer–client relationship. That relationship begins only when we have carried out our conflict checks, agreed to act, and confirmed it to you in writing. Until then, please do not send us anything you would not want read by someone who is not yet your lawyer, and please do not rely on us to protect a deadline in your matter.
Limits on our responsibility
We prepare the content of this site with care, but we give no warranty that it is complete, current or free of error, and we do not accept liability for loss arising from anything done or not done in reliance on it. That is not us trying to shed responsibility for our professional work; our duties to a client we actually act for are a separate matter entirely, and they are not affected by this paragraph.
Links to and from other sites
Some pages link to courts, ministries and other public bodies as a convenience. Those sites are not ours, we do not check or endorse what they publish, and we are not answerable for it. Equally, if another site links here, that link is not an endorsement by us of that site, and no association between us should be inferred from it.
What belongs to the firm
The text, design, logo, marks and other material on this site belong to Shaksham Law Associates or are used with permission, and copyright in them is ours. You are welcome to read, print and share pages for your own or your organisation's use. Republishing, adapting or using our material commercially needs our written permission first. Please ask; we are not difficult about it.
Case results and descriptions of our work
Where this site describes matters the firm has handled, those descriptions are general and no client is identified without consent. Nothing said about past work is a prediction or a promise about yours. Outcomes turn on their own facts, and no advocate can guarantee a result.
Governing law
This site is published from Kathmandu and these terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute about them falls to the courts of Kathmandu.
